KOLKATA: Pakistan men's cricket team captain Babar Azam spent some leisure time on the golf course in Kolkata alongside a few coaches, unwinding from their rigorous schedule during the ICC World Cup 2023.

Head coach Grant Bradburn, bowling coach Morne Morkel and Andrew Puttick engaged in golf activities with the Pakistan skipper.

Meanwhile, the rest of the players engaged in relaxing pool sessions at the hotel.

Pakistan cricket team is set to kick off their training sessions starting tomorrow. The training is scheduled to begin at 2 PM local time, as they prepare for their upcoming challenges.

Remember, Shadab Khan and pacer Haris Rauf will be available for selection as the Men in Green gear up to face England.

On the other hand, fast bowler Haris Rauf was tested in a local hospital in Kolkata after he complained about pain in his ribs.

However, after looking at the MRI report, the team management has confirmed that Haris will be available for selection for the match against England on Saturday.

Additionally, there's promising news regarding Shadab Khan's recovery. His rehabilitation is progressing well, and his condition will be further evaluated during the training session scheduled for tomorrow.

The leg-spinner got injured as he landed awkwardly on his shoulder, hitting his head on the ground, after he moved towards the ball and hurled it towards the stumps from mid-on during the match against the Proteas.

Pakistan, who are in the fifth position on the points table, need to beat England on November 11 in Kolkata and also pray that Sri Lanka beat the Black Caps in Bengaluru on November 9. The Men in Green also need Afghanistan to lose one of their remaining two matches — against Australia and South Africa — or both (preferably) because the Afghans have the same points (8) as Babar Azam's men despite playing one less match.
